Logo_MC

The Maison de la Création is a cultural centre at four sites: MC Bockstael, MC Gare, MC NOH and MC Cité Modèle. Neither a school nor an academy for the arts, the Maison de la Création is a place for communication, training, creation and distribution that is open to everyone, with no evaluation system beyond the pleasure of discovery, growth, learning and collective creation. The focus is on two complementary ideas, which are also two attitudes: firstly openness, or the ability to welcome, receive, listen etc. and secondly access, or the genuine ability to go and encounter others and be fulfilled by this encounter. The key to all of this is artistic or cultural practices: fundamentally ‘taking action’ through practices which are revelatory, connecting, engaging and structuring.
